Overview
Cikopo MHPP is a run-or-river hydropower plant located in Garut. West Java — approximately 220 km from Jakarta, The site has been fully operational since March 2017, with an installed capacity of 7.4 MW and an estimated annual energy output of 52,000 MWh
The majority of the Cikopo catchment area lies within a protected forest, allowing for more stable discharge throughout the year. The design discharge is ( 3,2 \text{ m}^3/\text{s} ) with a 264 m net head. The weir sits at 1,154 m above sea level, and diverted water is channeled along a 1,520 m open canal to a forebay tank before entering 960 m of penstock. Two Wasserkraft Volk AG Pelton turbines drive this power plant.
